Pinawalang-sala ng Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office si Vice President Sara Duterte mula sa mga reklamong assault na inihain laban sa kanya.

Nagsimula ang insidente noong Nobyembre sa Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC), kung saan naganap ang komprontasyon na may kaugnayan sa pagpapaospital kay Zuleika Lopez, chief of staff ni Duterte, na kinasuhan ng contempt ng House committee.

Inakusahan si Duterte at ang kanyang security detail ng mga kasong direct assault, disobedience to authority, at grave coercion.

Ipinag-dismiss ng prosekusyon ang mga reklamo dahil sa kakulangan ng sapat na ebidensya.

Ipinahayag nila na “not one of the witnesses of PLtCol Villamor corroborated his claims regarding the purported attack, employment of physical force, intimidation, resistance, disobedience, violence and threats.”

Pinabulaanan nila ang mga pahayag na “The video footage submitted by him also negates his own assertions.”

Ipinahayag din nila na “there is no denying that Duterte and the other respondents did not attack, employ material force, seriously intimidate or seriously resist Villamor.”

Dahil dito, ipinag-dismiss ng prosekusyon ang kaso at itinuring nilang hindi sapat ang mga ebidensya upang suportahan ang mga alegasyon.
